Bring along your love ones and join the Free Family Forest School at Plumstead Common! Charity Nature Vibezzz free weekly 2pm to 4pm Sunday family forest school activities suitable for families with young children, recommended age of children  is 18 months plus.

The sessions are run by DBS checked, experienced, qualified forest school leaders. Activities are run for familes with young children at Plumstead Common. These weekly activities (school term time only) are part of project running free activities at various London sites and is funded by Major of London Family Fund. Currently the project activities will finish in October 2019.

Forest School sessions include creative skills and exploration such as making dens, woodcraft, nature walks, making perfume (magic potions) from natural items, story telling, introducing healthy eating, recycling and reducing waste, looking after the environment and fire lighting.

All the activities run will help build participant’s self-esteem, social skills, general confidence and knowledge. The project’s objective is to provide a platform for families from a range of backgrounds to gain independence, overcome fears and promote positive feelings in a natural peaceful environment. During project sessions children and adults work together learning new skills; participants are encouraged to support each other to reach achievable goals (i.e: cooking bread on a fire) that will build relationships, skills, self-esteem and confidence.
