The nursery is set to open in Winter 2015 and will be known as Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool. It will be located on quiet Lovibond Lane, a road running through a new development currently known as The Movement.

The new development is adjacent to Greenwich Docklands Light Railway and Greenwich National rail station, and is a few minutes’ walk to the West of Greenwich town centre. The nursery also includes 3 car drop-off spaces, making it ideal for commuting parents, and will be open 52 weeks of the year, excluding weekends and bank holidays. Bright Horizons have over 30 years of experience in building and designing nurseries, and this wealth of knowledge will enable them to create a naturally inspiring nursery environment that will allow each child to grow, flourish and love learning forever.

Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool will be thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of children aged three months to five years, offering five individual home-bases specifically tailored to different age groups.

The setting will also boast a bespoke external play area on the first floor, carefully designed to enable each child to play and explore the natural world around them, with lots of exciting outdoor resources.

Bright Horizons’ carefully selected nursery staff will lead the children through a range of educational activities, nurturing each child’s imagination and helping them to develop and learn in a warm and friendly environment.

Bright Horizons provide the support that each individual age group need;

For babies and toddlers they create a safe world, rich with opportunities to actively explore, with books, songs, and a lot of listening and responding to their vocalisations and words. For toddlers they offer the manageable challenges and relaxed environment that two to three year olds need.

Staff understand the frequent changes in moods, interests, and capabilities and provide calm, consistent care and supportive teaching.

For pre-schoolers, Bright Horizons’ have created bespoke Ready for School Programmes which prepare children for the next steps on their learning journey and these programmes include Growing Readers, Growing Writers, Growing Mathematicians, Active Athletes, Cookery Club and Gardening Club.

The fees at Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool will be fully inclusive, which means they provide all food, drinks, nappies and formula milk for the babies and children in their care. They will have an on-site chef and menus which are created by a nutritionist to provide a healthy and balanced diet.
