Urban Village Fete

Every year, Urban Village Fete brings together an eclectic mix of music, art, design, and fashion, providing a unique and exciting atmosphere that the whole family will enjoy. With various activities, workshops, and performances, there’s something for everyone, regardless of age or interests. So mark your calendars and get ready to be wowed by the sights and sounds of Urban Village Fete – a celebration of creativity and community that is not to be missed!

Now in its 7th year, Urban Village Fete remains a free, fun-filled day of music, feasting, crafting, and dancing in the sunshine*. Tickets are FREE, but booking is essential.

Get inspired in the talks tent with topics from sports to sustainability, indulge in afternoon crafting with hands-on workshops from Black Girl Knit Club and Madebymanos or treat yourself (or someone else) to local, handmade goodies from our shopping quarter.

If all that makes you hungry, the Canteen Food Hall has got you covered and offers street food from all corners of the world, or you can mosey around our outdoor food market, munching on morsels along the way. We’ll be carrying on the party at Canteen once the sun goes down.

So don your dancing shoes for a party in the park like no other, with headline sets from Bradley Zero plus other special guests still to be announced.

Whether you’re coming with the family or your pup for a picnic or bringing your friends for a boogie, there’s something for everyone to get involved with at Urban Village Fete. Take a look at our top picks.

Workshops

Get stuck into one of the creative workshops, from knitting in the park to ceramic tile making in Design District. There’s plenty for little people to get involved with, including puppet shows and music workshops galore – keep your eye out as they will pop up all over the place throughout the day.

Talks

Looking for inspiration? Take a wander over to the talks tent and feed your curiosity. Want to learn about how cities can be re-energised for a more sustainable future? Or about how grassroots teams are reclaiming the game of football? BBC Radio London Host Robert Elms will moderate a brilliant group of panellists throughout the day; book your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Market

It’s not about need, more about want…. Treat yourself (or someone else) with gifts and goodies from London’s finest emerging brands and creative makers, crafters and curators from the worlds of food, fashion, homeware, health and beauty.

Food & Drink

Whether you’re hunting for cakes and craft beer or a little moonshine accompanied by artisan bread – the market won’t disappoint. Plus, you and your gang can explore an entire street food hall at the heart of the Design District.

Family Activities

Who doesn’t love to get their face painted? Big kids and little kids can get an Urban Village Fete-themed glow-up from our resident face painters, or those looking for a more permanent reminder of the day can take away a personalised hat from Chapeau Magique – you’ll need to get in early though, those hats are in demand!

*sunshine is not guaranteed, but we’re keeping everything crossed.
