Out & About May

This year is flying by at a great rate of knots. And talking of knots, who saw the queen re-open the Cutty Sark? Unfortunately Gmums sadly missed her; one wasn’t really impressed with that – me, not Her Maj.

Now you can’t help but trip over the royalist good feeling in the Borough at the moment, the bunting is flying high, Goddard’s has returned and the Greenwich Pier is fully open. Earlier in the week whilst emitting glowing said good feeling, I stumbled across this exquisite Hamper from Spicer’s of Hythe, packed with luxury treats including a Apply and Cider Chutney, Campbells Petticoat Tail Shortbread and the traditional favorite of Bojangles Rhubarb and Custard sweets. It’s a perfect gift for any occasion, be it the Queens Jubilee, the London Olympics, Fathers Day or just to say “thank you”. Maybe it’s a London thing but the natty taxi and the split lid willow basket just did for me.

We have a ‘Best of British Little Luxuries’ Hamper to give away to one lucky GreenwichMum, plus an exclusive 10% discount on all online orders placed before the 24th May 2012 (upon placing the order you can select a delivery date after this point and still qualify for the offer). Quote promotional code S12WPGM at the checkout. To be in a chance of winning email info@greenwichmums.com with “Spicers Prize Draw” in the subject line including your name and address. Competition closes on the 25th May.

We also hear another big fury animal is rolling into town, what’s that you say “there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo”… Oh yes there is & he’s back for one weekend only (June 10, 11, 12) at Greenwich Theatre. MumsCard holders get 10% off, tickets on sale now
