Horniman Museum

horniman
Open since Victorian times, when Frederick John Horniman first opened his house and extraordinary collection of objects to visitors.

Since then, our collection has grown tenfold and includes internationally important collections of anthropology and musical instruments, as well as an acclaimed aquarium and natural history collection.

Our visitors come time and again to explore our free museum, take part in our activities and enjoy our 16-acre gardens. And they discover something fascinating and mesmerising every time

Every Saturday from 9am – 1.30pm You’ll find a locally sourced farmers’ market selling veg, meat, fish, bread, flowers, hot food and much more in the gardens of the Museum. Produce available from a wild selection of Artisan providers. Including Greenwich’s own All Things Saucy.

Once you’ve had your fill pop into the Art Makers session at either 1.30pm or 2,45pm and have fun with the art technique of the week and create something wonderful to take home.

£3 per participating child, adults free.
Suitable for children aged 3 +. Purchase tickets on the day from the Information Desk.
