The Greenwich festive postbox is back! First introduced last year, and located in Cutty Sark Gardens, this is one of only four special postboxes nationwide. It’s decorated and filled with magical elves ready to respond once a letter or card has been posted.
But have you ever wondered what makes it onto a Christmas wish list?
Well, Father Christmas, has a specialised team of elves at Royal Mail who enjoy taking a little peek at what children are asking for, and helping him reply to all these special letters.
Royal Mail’s survey of Christmas wishes has found video game consoles are topping the most-wanted list. With Lego and bikes and scooters also popular requests. Along with books – which didn’t appear in the 2018 or 2017 lists – also making the top 10.
A Giant Unicorn has galloped into sixth place for the first time – while mobile phones have dropped from sixth to seventh.
Three new gifts made it into the list for the first time with LOL Dolls, clothes and baby dolls (really, new?) taking the last three spots of the top 10 most popular Christmas requests.
