Well-presented intelligence is a crucial part in influencing partners and stakeholders to improve the health of our communities and reduce health inequalities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to lead our public health intelligence team, providing focused public health intelligence leadership to ensure that robust public health information, using a wide range of data sources relating to population health and wellbeing is accessible to everyone.

The role is to oversee, guide, and develop a process to obtain, analyse, interpret and publish information relating to health and wellbeing; and to lead the provision of expert advice on epidemiology, health intelligence, statistics, research and survey design to inform service design and commissioning decisions.

As the post-holder, you will provide the leadership for the Intelligence team, working with other departments within the Royal Borough of Greenwich and with external organisations, such as NHS Greenwich CCG, NHS England and Public Health England, to provide analysis and advice in relation to the full range of public health matters.

You will have proven skills in Intelligence and an excellent understanding of epidemiology and statistics, public health practice, health promotion, health economics and health care evaluation.
