The Inclusion, Learning and Achievement team is placed to meet the needs of all children in Greenwich.  We aim to raise standards for all children, supporting their education, their welfare and ensuring that they are safe.  To do this, we need a certain type of person: an education professional with commitment and determination to achieve the vision of Greenwich Council; someone who can both challenge and support, and someone who leads with a moral purpose and can form great working relationships with leaders in schools and other agencies.

We need someone who can work strategically, with the Head of Inclusion, to improve behaviour and reduce exclusions in our schools.  Our Fair Access Panel works in a multiagency way to support children and schools, ensuring that the most vulnerable can have a successful school placement. The successful postholder would oversee the Fair Access Panel process, chair meetings and ensure that Greenwich continues to have fantastic relationships with our schools and other agencies who contribute. For those children and young people for whom a mainstream education isn’t an option, ensuring our Alternative Providers continue to i mprove will be an important part of this role.
