About this event:
To all adventure seekers, here’s The AHOY Centre Charity Rowing Challenge. An 8.5 nautical mile, time trial row on the Thames River – open to anyone of any ability and fitness! Under blue skies and gorgeous sunshine, row in teams of 6 to compete in our trademark event.
Whilst being great fun and an amazing challenge amongst like-minded adults, rowing with The AHOY supports local at-risk and disabled young adults who have been attending The AHOY in the 14 years of its opening.
The AHOY Centre is a watersports based Charity changing people’s lives and building life skills through sailing and rowing.
Our primary objective is giving opportunities for disadvantaged and at-risk youths and we offer opportunities for disabled people to participate in activities and courses on an equal level. We bring together people from many walks of life to work together as a community helping others and all our activities and programmes are focused on teaching transferable and employable skills.
