Listen to the Chill Pill at the Albany, a mixed bill nights of unpredictable, heartfelt and hilarious spoken word from one of the UK’s leading poetry collectives.

This event costs: £8

If you need more spoken word in your life then you need to be in the company of the Chill Pill collective; Adam Kammerling, Raymond Antrobus, Deanna Rodger, Simon Mole and Mr Gee.

Joining them is Caroline Bird who’s most recent collection, In These Days of Prohibition, was shortlisted for the 2017 TS Eliot Prize. A two-time winner of the Foyles Young Poets Award, she was also one of the five official poets at the London 2012 Olympics.

Plus live music from sky coloured, an alt-pop band from our very own SE London, influenced by jazz, poetry and experimental music. The follow up to their first album Starting Time will be released later this year.

Arrive early to grab an open mic slot.

This event takes place at Canada Water Theatre.

Southwark Presents card-holders can now enjoy £2 off Full Price tickets for this event. You will be asked to present your card when collecting your tickets. If you do not present the card you will be asked to pay the difference.
