Der Freischutz Opera at Blackheath Halls

This event is suitable for: All ages

This event costs: £18 | £16 (concessions) | £6 under 12s

The First UK staged performance of this opera in 18 years

This magical opera has all the ingredients of an old folk tale; a timid virtuous heroine wooed by a handsome but weak-willed youth who is led to the verge of ruin by dark honey-tongued villainy, a pious hermit, a just prince and a flirtatious woman!

The last performance of Freischütz was in 1999 by the English National Opera and one of the original cast members, Andrew Greenan, will resume his role as the Hermit in the Blackheath Halls production. As with the ENO production, the opera will be performed in the English translation by David Pountney.

This production by The Blackheath Halls Community Opera will bring together our wide variety of community groups singing alongside professionals making this a fantastic event for all to enjoy.

Price: £18 | £16 (concessions) | £6 under 12s
