Afternoon Tea in Greenwich

Afternoon Tea in Greenwich at the Queens House. It felt so cosmopolitan, sounded so decadent. Except it was a very English affair.

Afternoon-tea

The Queen’s House in Greenwich for Afternoon Tea and what a fab way to while away a couple of childfree hours. Finally a pot of tea all to myself – that won’t ever see the inside of a microwave and a cake stand of treats that I only had to share with me, myself and I and maybe GreenwichDad!

works brilliantly well on the balcony area, which overlooks the park and provides a great spot to people watch and relax. We opted for a Prosecco Tea (and why not!) with an Earl Grey and Rooibos. Accompanied by a selection of classic finger sandwiches crusts removed (naturally) and some really nice little desserts, There was more than enough for 2 and the selection was well balanced and looked great.

I can think of only 2 other places in Greenwich that serve a classic Afternoon Tea and now having visited the Queens House they are sure to give the others a good run for their money. The setting is iconic, the service attentive and it does represent good value.
